Ellen Allen

I am very excited about returning home to be a Buccaneer once again. I am a Haughton High graduate from the class of 1991, as well as one of the three valedictorians. I graduated Cum Laude from East Texas Baptist University. I am currently earning my Master's Degree in Math Education, which I should attain by the fall of 2016. This is my 22nd year of teaching. I began my career teaching in Tatum, Texas. After four years of teaching middle school, I decided to teach at Longview High School. I have also taught at Hallsville High School and Coppell High School all of which are in Texas. I have taught the following subjects: 7th grade math, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II,  Financial Math, Advanced Math, PreCalculus, and AP Calculus. My family and I moved to Haughton in January 2009. Since coming back, I taught at Bossier and Airline. But there is no place like home!

I  have been married to my wonderful husband Dean for 21 years in October.  We have three amazing kids.

  • Gracie is a Ragin' Cajun freshman at the University of Louisiana - Lafayette.
  • Grant is a sophomore basketball player here at HHS.
  • George is a 8th grader and the President of Student Council at HMS.

‚ÄčWe love the Haughton schools and are thrilled that I now have the opportunity to be an educator here at HHS.  Go Bucs!
