History

The document in the locker (at right) is obviously a work in progress, as many items need to be revised/updated.  The original data was compiled and written by Ann Huddleston and Tommie Baird Pepper when they were faculty members at Haughton High in 1971; they submitted this as a research paper for a class they were taking at La. Tech.  The typed version of this paper has been stored in the Haughton High Library archives since it was written.  There was, of course, no digital copy until now.  For our current students, who have never known life without the internet, this is almost a foreign concept.  However, this document has now been “rebirthed” so that new generations of Buccaneers can share this knowledge. Thanks to Class of 2014 member and library worker Eryn Rhodes for her typing work on this project! It is our hope that the updates will continue so that the history of Haughton High will not be forgotten.
