Students interested in being in Student Council should pick up an application from Mrs. Marks in Lab 1 or Mrs. Bryant in E16. Deadline to submit application is Sept. 25th!  Something new for this year is our Crew is now going to be part of Student Council.  If you want to be in the Crew, you need to also sign up to be a general member of Student Council.  Please have your $20 dues when you turn in your application.  See Mrs. Marks if you have any questions.

Seniors- Please accept your invite to Mrs. Waldron's Google Classroom. Important senior information and scholarships will be posted there.

Students, starting next Monday, the band will be practicing in the student parking lot after school from 2:45-4:45 Monday Tuesday and Thursday. We ask that if you’re staying after school on these days  that you move your vehicle from the practice area signified by the white lines. Thank you!!The volleyball team lost to Airline last night 3 sets to 1. 

Adrienne Vickers had 7 kills and 2 blocks. 

Mia McWilliams had 4 kills, 6 aces, and 9 assists.

Jaycie Keith had 7 kills and 2 aces. 

Sara White had 5 kills

Averi Phillips had 16 digs.

Interested in becoming a Beta Member for the 2020-2021 school year. Pick up an application outside of Lab 3. Return the application to Mrs. St. Andre' in Lab 3 by the end of the day today.

If you receive a parking ticket, you need to pay the $10 fee to Coach O'Nishea. If you do not purchase a parking permit your vehicle will be towed on the third offense.

Juniors and Sophomores interested in taking this qualifying exam for the National Merit Scholarship program exam must sign-up with Mrs. Stallcup in H1 no later than today.   The cost of the exam is $17 and seats will be available on a first come-first served basis. For more information see the HHS website or contact Mrs. Stallcup.

Any girl interested in signing up for girl's soccer who did not play at HHS last year should go by Coach Stafford's room (E-2) during non-class time. There will be a signup list posted outside his door.

If you are planning on joining Pep Squad - your $100 uniform deposit is due today! Make sure you are checking the Pep Squad information that is posted on the HHS Website and the HHS App. See Mrs. Duncan if you have any questions.Payment CANNOT be made using the Haughton App....cash or money order only to Mrs. Duncan.

Congratulations to George Allen. His name was just released as a semifinalist in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program. Less than one percent of all U.S. High School seniors receive this honor, so WAY TO GO, GEORGE!!

The HHS football team is heading up an effort to help the students from LaGrange High School in Lake Charles recover from the hurricane.  Check out the HHS website to find a list of items you can bring to help these students and their families get back on their feet.  All donations need to be delivered to the field house no later than Friday afternoon.
