Selective Service

Sign-Up Information

Guys, register with Selective Service within 30 days of your eighteenth birthday. Early registration is available beginning at age 17 years, 3 months. You must be registered no later than age 26.  It’s quick and easy to check your registration information or to register online @ www.sss.gov or pick up a registration card at any post office.

If a young man reaches age 26 without registering, he can be PERMANENTLY BARRED from receiving federal student loans, placement in federal job training programs, eligibility for federal government jobs, and receiving or renewing a driver's license in most states. Male immigrants who wish to become citizens can face significant delays if they fail to register by age 26.
