Congrats to the new members of the HHS Softball team!
Summer workouts will begin on June 2nd. Pitchers and catcher who are notified by Coach Prather will need to be at the softball field at 9AM. Pitchers will need to bring their gloves, cleats, and water. Catchers need to make sure they have their gear. Everyone (including pitchers and catchers) will report to the HHS track at 10AM. Make sure you wear appropriate clothing, tennis shoes, and bring water.
New players are required to get a physical completed before June 2nd. An LHSAA physical form can be printed from the locker on this site. The physical must be signed by the doctor and a parent. Turn this form in on June 2nd.
Four Lady Bucs named to the Shreveport Times All-City Softball Team
Four Lady Bucs were recently named to the 2015 Shreveport Times All-City Softball Team. Outfielder and pitcher Anna Dies was named the All-City Player of the Year. Infielder Savannah O'Neal was named to the first team while Ashley Smith and Lacey Dodson were named to the second team. Congratulations to these very deserving young ladies! Tryouts postponed until Wednesday, May 20
Tryouts for the 2015-16 school year have been postponed until Wednesday, May 20. They will still be held at the HHS Softball field from 3:00 until 4:30. Those trying out should wear appropriate clothes and bring bats, gloves, cleats, helmets, etc. Anyone who catches should bring their gear.
2015 Haughton Softball Camp
The Haughton High School Softball coaching staff will be conducting its annual Haughton Softball Camp at the Lawson "Bo" Brandon Sports Complex on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 26 and 27. Campers will receive instruction on hitting, defense, base running, and pitching from current and former Haughton players. Each camper will also receive a camp T-shirt. A registration form can be printed from the Softball Locker on this page. We look forward to seeing you there!

Lady Bucs win 4th straight
The Lady Bucs overcame a slow start to defeat Bastrop 12-3 on Monday. Natalie Smith drove in 3 runs and Savannah Salley, Savannah O'Neal, and Keeleigh Bennett added 2 RBI's each to pace the Lady Bucs 14 hit attack. Ashley Smith gave up 2 earned runs and struck out 8 to improve to 3-1 on the season. The Lady Bucs will host Captain Shreve on Tuesday in their second district game of the year. The JV will start at 4:30.
Lady Bucs win two in Ouachita tournament
The Lady Bucs went 2-0 in the Ouachita tournament over the weekend behind great pitching performances from Ashley Smith and Anna Dies. In game one against Neville, the Lady Bucs scored 9 runs in the 4th and Ashley Smith cruised from there in a 12-2 victory. Lacey Dodson, Anna Dies, Savannah Salley, Leah Hobson, and Lauren Edwards each collected multiple hits in the game. In game two, the Lady Bucs defeated previously unbeaten Mangham 7-2. Keeleigh Bennett, Natalie Smith, Savannah O'Neal, Lacey Dodson, and Savannah Salley had multiple hits in this one. The wins boosted the Lady Bucs' record to 4-2 on the season.
Important schedule changes...
The March 12th games with Parkway will be made up on Monday, March 30. Same time, same place.
The March 10th game with Southwood has been rescheduled as a Varsity doubleheader. It will be played on Thursday, April 2 at Haughton.
The March 3rd game with Caddo Magnet has been rescheduled as a Varsity doubleheader. It will be played on Thursday, March 26 at Caddo Magnet.
Lady Bucs begin district play with 4-1 victory over Airline
Anna Dies went 4-for-4 at the plate with a home run and struck out 11 Lady Vikings hitters to lead the Lady Bucs to a 4-1 victory over Airline on Saturday. With the win, the Lady Bucs improve to 2-2 on the year and 1-0 in district play.
The April 13 game at Byrd has been moved to April 6 due to ring ding
