Have you ever wondered what happens to flags once they become unserviceable? These weathered, and torn flags that have proudly flown over our country need to be respectfully retired from service, but how? The United States Flag Code Title 4, Section 8k states “The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem of display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.” There are many local organizations that will take your flag for proper retirement, like your Bucs in Blue. So, be sure to bring in any of  your flags that are in need of retirement NLT Monday, March 22nd.
