Extra 2018-2019 yearbooks are available to purchase for $65 in Lab 3 during lunch time only!

Any students who are interested in signing up for the Library Book Club, the Buccaneer Bookshelf Advisory Club or BBAC, can do so in the library from now until Thursday, August 29th, before or after school, or during their lunch shift. 

RAK club sign up sheets are on Ms. Meyer's door in the E-building. Please fill out form and return to Ms. Meyer or Mrs. Maris before Wednesday, August 28. Club dues are $5 and if you’re interested in a t-shirt they cost $15. T-shirt design is on Ms. Meyer's door with the sign up sheets.  

It’s time to sign up for SADD.  Forms are outside Mrs. Ward’s room S125. Dues are $20 for new members which does include the shirt. 

Mu Alpha Theta,  A national mathematics honor society, is being formed at Haughton High School. To join:

1.  members must have at least a 3.0 math grade point average. 

 2.  Students must have completed the equivalent of two years of college preparatory mathematics, including algebra and/or geometry, and have completed or are enrolled in a third year of college preparatory mathematics.  

Sign up in room S123, Mr. Joseph Williams’ room to sign up and get more information before or after school and during 3rd Block.

 It’s time to sign up for the Crew!  Cost is $20 and that covers your t-shirt and tailgating.  Sign up with Mrs. Shaw, Mrs. Weinreber, or Mrs. Duncan.  

See any cross country member or coach Drake Smith to sign up for the Bucs on the Run 5K that will be held at HHS Saturday, August 31.  

Any student interested in wrestling this year needs to attend a brief meeting after school today in the field house. The meeting should only last about 30 minutes. Please go by Coach O'Nishea's room if you have any questions.

Students who drive…..make sure you move your car outside the white lines in the parking lot immediately after school because this is the band’s practice area.

We’re looking for a few good people to serve as Bucky the mascot this year.  If you are interested in trying out, pick up an application in Mrs. Shaw’s room H-10 during lunch or between classes.  Applications must be returned by Friday, August 30 and tryouts will be Thursday, September 5 immediately after school in Mrs. Shaw’s classroom.

Students, if you have earned a 21 or higher on the ACT and have picked up your HHS ACT 21 DOMINATION t-shirt, you can wear that shirt with jeans on Wednesday, August 21st.  If you earned this distinction over the summer, don't worry. Mrs. Stallcup sent your tickets out to 1st block teachers and you can pick up your t-shirt before the big day!

Tonight is Haughton’s Community Spirit Night at the stadium beginning at 6 p.m.  Students get in free and admission is $5 for adults. There will be food trucks, other vendors, the HHS spirit store will be open, and all the teams and spirit groups from the high school, middle school, and elementary schools will be recognized as well.  Come out and support your Buccaneers tonight at Community Spirit Night.

JROTC drill team will meet today for practice and tryout from 2:30 until 3:30 in the large JROTC classroom. Color guard will meet tomorrow the same place and time. Space team will meet from 2:30 until 3:30 in the small JROTC classroom.
