    Driver's ed info

    Sign up for the Sprint Driver Ed course will be on January 12th, 2019  in the Field House from 9am to 11am. Cost is $400 cash or money order only, no checks.

    Students must obtain their TIP (temporary instruction permit) from the OMV BEFORE they can register for the class.

    • These things are required at the OMV to get the temporary instruction permit:
    • original birth certificate
    • parent's / legal guardian drivers license
    • student social security card
    • school ID
    • school enrollment form (obtain from Mr. S. Brown, Coach Marston, or Mrs. Guin in the office)
    • a water, electricity or gas bill.

    $32.50 cash to the OMV is the cost. This is the only time you pay this fee. There is no fee to upgrade this to learner's permit and full license after completing requirements.




    Area colleges and universities will be visiting HHS on December 14th during lunch shifts.  Come see LA Tech, ULM, BPCC, NSU, LSUS, and VoTech. The National Guard will also be in attendance to share any information about their branch. Come by the library during your lunch shift and hear what they have to offer!

    Thurs-Something-Goin-On-In-The-Library! December 13th the Library will be hosting information regarding the history of Santa Claus!  To help give you an accurate account of how our Jolly Fellow came to giving good cheer and toys to the world, Mrs. Claus will be visiting from the North Pole! Come during your lunch Mrs. Claus shift to have some cookies and milk and play Christmas Bingo with Mrs. Claus while learning a little about our holiday man in red. In addition to hanging out with Mrs. Claus, help  her gather mittens for kids in need in our Haughton community.  The library will have a Mitten Tree set up! Hang your mittens on the Mitten Tree and give back to our community at any time between now and the end of the day Thursday, December 13th.  Mittens will go to help children at Platt Elementary during winter. See you Thursday, December 13th!
