    ACT Meeting Announced

    HHS is excited to host an informational meeting for all Juniors on February 28th at 5:30 PM in the Boys' Gym.  11th grade students and parents are encouraged to attend.  The meeting will provide information about scheduling and preparing for your senior year.  Counselors will be providing information on courses, summer opportunities, scholarships, college planning, and testing options.  Additionally, Mrs. Arbuckle will provide information about the ACT that all Juniors will take at HHS on March 12th, as well as other testing options. Junior parents and students, please plan to attend on Thursday, February 28th at 5:30 PM.

    Additionally available computers for Credit Recovery, EOC review and research/writing in each classroom for each tutoring session.  Not specific to subject.


    Highstepper Win!

    High Steppers Win
    The Highsteppers competed in the Mardi Gras Classic Regional Competition at Chalmette High School on February 16th. They were awarded 1st place for Large Team Pom, 1st place for Large Team Prop, 5th place kick ensemble, and 2nd place officer dance. 



           Way2go Wednesday

    Way 2 Go Wednesday is moving to all drawings! February's drawings will take place Wednesday, February 20th, at 1:00 p.m.  Come by the Library, pick a prize you'd like, and put your BUC buck in the box for a chance to win that prize.  Prizes for February are the following:

    (20) ID Forgiveness coupons

    (20) Tardy Forgiveness coupons

    Jumpstart Summer Enrichment Program

    The program targets students interested in pursuing careers in Medicine, Dentistry, Biomedical Research or Allied Health Professions.

    • 16 years of age by the start of the program
    • Minimum GPA of 2.5. 

    Students are exposed to intense hands-on research activities conducted by LSUHSC-S faculty who serve as program mentors. 

    The program will run from June 3, 2019 – July 26, 2019.

    APPLICATION DEADLINE – March 15, 2019
