PDHS Homecoming As the Lion Community gears up for the excitement of homecoming this season, we are eager to embrace the fun and festivities that await us. Kicking off the celebration, our homecoming parade will take place this Thursday at 5 PM, departing from the school grounds. Following the parade, the carnival festivities will commence in the middle school gym, offering an array of activities and fun for all ages. It’s the perfect opportunity to gather together as a community and celebrate our school spirit. On Friday, the energy will continue to build with our pep rally at 9 AM, where we will proudly introduce our homecoming court. We invite all parents to join us for this spirited event in the main gym, where they will need to sign in for attendance. The enthusiasm will carry into the evening as we host our much-anticipated homecoming game, where we’ll rally behind our team and show our support. We extend a special invitation to our alumni to join us for a tailgating event prior to the game, beginning at 6 PM on the south side of the football stadium. This is a fantastic chance for alumni to reconnect and celebrate their school spirit together. Please note that attendance at the tailgate will require admission into the game, and we can accommodate approximately 50 individuals in the tailgating area. The school will provide hamburgers for purchase, as well as various concessions to enjoy before the game kicks off. For alumni attending the game, we will reserve a special area in the stands for you until 6:50 PM to ensure you can sit together. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, it is essential that all attendees adhere to the guidelines set forth by Bossier Parish and Plain Dealing High School. Please be reminded of the following important regulations: no in-and-out privileges during the game or tailgating (re-entry fees will apply); no alcohol or illegal drugs; no weapons; mandatory metal detector screenings; no bags or outside food and drinks allowed inside the stadium or tailgate area; no profanity; and a commitment to good sportsmanship and appropriate behavior. Individuals under the influence of any substance will not be allowed entry. We appreciate your cooperation in making this homecoming a memorable and safe event for our entire Lion Community. Here is a clearer restatement of the updated superhero dress-up guidelines: No Masks: Students may dress up as superheroes but cannot wear masks. No One-Piece Costumes: Students cannot wear one-piece outfits. No Props or Weapons: Props or weapons are not allowed as part of the costume. School-Appropriate Attire: Costumes must be school-appropriate, not revealing or tight-fitting. No Jeans: Jeans are not permitted. Clear Superhero Theme: The costume must clearly represent a superhero. Not a Free Dress Day Tomorrow: Tomorrow is not a free dress day, so normal dress code applies. Consequences for Non-Compliance: Any student not following these guidelines will be required to change clothes. These rules ensure safety, appropriateness, and clear participation in the superhero theme. Jason Edwards Principal Plain Dealing High School

Parents, Homecoming is one of the most anticipated times of the year when school spirit is on full display and it is fast approaching. We want this memorable event to be fun for everyone and ask that you remind your children to not engage in any destruction of property on or off campus and refrain from trespassing on private property. These actions can lead to criminal consequences and also prevent them from participating in Homecoming activities, which none of us want to see happen. Let’s keep Homecoming a time of celebration for all and looked back upon fondly for all the right reasons. Jason Edwards Principal
