We are looking forward to all our PDHS families coming on Tuesday night!

To be named a Top Gains Honoree with the Louisiana Department of Education a school must demonstrate excellence in student growth by earning an “A” in their progress index (a major component of School Performance Scores) with a score of 90 or higher.
Bossier Schools is proud to share that 15 of our schools received this most honorable designation based on the 2024 School Performance Scores! This accomplishment shows dedication and intentional efforts made with helping students continue to grow and succeed.
🎉Congratulations to each of these school communities for excelling in student growth this year! We’re so proud of you!

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Friends of Plain Dealing High School,
On Monday, November 11, 2024 at 1:30 P.M., Plain Dealing High School will be sponsoring a Veteran’s Day program to honor all Veterans.
Please extend this invitation to all veterans in your family, and the community.
As an added tribute, we would like to create a “Hall of Heroes” to honor
those we know who have served in the armed forces. We are asking students
and their families to fill out the reverse side of this sheet with information on a
Veteran that could be included on our wall. If you have more than two
Veterans that you would like to have us honor, please include these on a
separate sheet of paper.
Please have the form returned by Thursday,
November 8, 2024, before 2:20 PM. You can also email the information to
melanie.scruggs@bossierschools.org, subject Hall of Heroes.
Thank you for your support in making this a memorable event for those who
have sacrificed so much for our community and country. If you have any further
questions please contact me at the above email, or call the school directly.
Sincerely,
Melanie Scruggs

PDHS K-5th Student Progress Conference
Parents and Guardians,
We invite you to our upcoming Student Progress Conference at Plain Dealing Elementary. This is a valuable opportunity for you to meet with your child’s teachers and discuss their progress, achievements, and areas for growth as we move through the school year.
During this conference, our teachers will provide insights into your child’s academic performance, social development, and any support they may need to continue thriving. Our goal is to work together as partners to ensure your child’s success, and your participation is essential to this process.
The conferences will be held on October 21, and the schedule is as follows:
Kindergarten: 5:00 PM
First Grade: 5:30 PM
Second Grade: 6:00 PM
Fourth and Fifth Grade: 6:30 PM
Please note that Third-grade parents have already completed their conferences on a previous date, so they do not need to attend on October 21.
We kindly ask that you arrive promptly for your child’s scheduled time slot to ensure that each conference runs smoothly and on time. If you have any questions or concerns you would like to address before the meeting, feel free to contact your child’s teacher directly.
These conferences are an excellent way to strengthen the connection between school and home, and we truly value the opportunity to discuss how we can best support your child’s educational journey. We look forward to welcoming all parents and guardians to our school on October 21.
Thank you for your continued involvement and partnership in your child's education.
Regards,
Jason Edwards
